Yesterday (June 21st) happened to be the International Music Day or Fête de la Musique,  or Make a Music Day or Global Music Day that originated in France in the year 1982, and gradually gained visibility around the globe.

For those who missed out on yesterday, don't worry. There is another official day to celebrate, that being October 1st. This was initiated by Lord Yehudi Menuhin on October 1st, 1975, and was officially organized by International Music Council, in accordance with 15th General Assembly in Lausanne (1973).

On a personal note, Music is beyond language and cultural barriers, and we don't have to wait for these two days to celebrate this form of art.

#OTD in 1886 Josephine Cochrane, a woman inventor from Shelbyville, Illinois, USA was issued the dishwashing machine patent, which also ended up becoming the first commercially successful dishwashing machine.
